£44,737 to £51,805 per annum, pro rata for part-time

The Norwich Epidemiology Centre at the University of East Anglia is seeking a Research Fellow to join the new Health Data Interpretation Group. We also have a vacancy for Research Associates.  The project is funded by Norfolk County Council to guide the recovery from the COVID pandemic. You will be based at the University of East Anglia and will work at the University and at Norfolk County Council as required by the project. Travel to other sites may be required. 

You will have substantial experience of research and evaluation and will initiate and support all aspects of the project in order to analyse and interpret health and social care data from organisations across Norfolk. You will supervise the Research Associates and the Administrative Assistant on the project. You will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Nicholas Steel.

Essential requirements for this post include a relevant postgraduate degree, excellent IT skills including database and statistical skills, experience in designing and delivering health care research projects, and detailed knowledge of the structure and function of the National Health Service. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills, and experience of writing reports, publishing papers, and presenting research results. You will also meet all the essential criteria set out in the Person Specification.

There is one full-time post available on this project with the option of splitting the post into 2 equal part-time posts.  The post is available on a fixed term basis for 12 months from the start date, expected to be 3 January 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.
