LIFEGUARD/SPORTS ASSISTANT

£20,950 per annum
Sportspark (Sports Facilities Norwich - Sportspark) at the University of East Anglia is passionate about providing an inspiring facility for all members of the community, and we are actively looking for a responsible individual with a flexible attitude and commitment to our values of excellence, who enjoys working with people.
The Lifeguard/Sports Assistant role is extremely varied and interesting, with responsibility for lifeguarding the Pool, supervising and maintaining the indoor and outdoor Dry Side facilities of the complex, and ensuring a safe, quality environment for our customers at all times.
We are looking for candidates with GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent qualification or directly equivalent experience). You should also have the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and First Aid at Work Certificate or will be able to achieve these within three months of appointment. Experience and knowledge of working within a Sports/Leisure environment is desirable.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
