Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy– Lead for Clinical Skills Training (0.4fte)

£44,737 to £51,805 per annum, pro rata

We are looking for an outstanding individual to Lead Clinical Skills Training across registered pharmacy courses at UEA. You will be responsible for training and assessment of clinical examination and associated diagnostic skills required to meet the competencies associated with the GPhC-accredited MPharm and Independent Prescribing (IP) programmes, as well as the RPS-aligned Newly Qualified Pharmacists programme (NQP).  In addition to direct delivery of relevant teaching and assessment, the role requires strategic oversight of all courses that include a prescribing element to ensure a joined-up approach across our portfolio. You will also lead curriculum design and innovation in this area and contribute to national discussions relating to patient assessment in pharmacist roles. You will also take on a postgraduate portfolio assessment role in common with all team members and teach within your own clinical discipline.

The ideal candidate will be a broadly experienced pharmacist who is also an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and who routinely assesses patients with autonomy and prescribes. You will have extensive experience of education and training including the development of teaching material in clinical settings and Education. You need to be motivated by excellence in pharmacy practice and have a track record of negotiation and influencing to achieve common goals and deliver medium to large scale projects. 

This part-time (0.4fte) post is available immediately on an indefinite basis. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Standard level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
