Providing operational support to the Head of Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion (EDI), this is an opportunity for an experienced administrator, to join our busy EDI and Wellbeing Team in supporting the University’s commitment to furthering equality through participation in the national Athena SWAN (AS) framework.

Your primary responsibilities will include producing a wide range of statistics and trends for inclusion into AS submissions and annual reports, supporting the development of action plans, progressing projects and the implementation of related initiatives, and monitoring the effectiveness of AS actions.

You will be proactive and able to manage your own workload.  You must be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and strands of activity, have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with a broad range of internal stakeholders.

This post provides an opportunity to broaden your skills and experience within the higher education sector; and is available immediately on a part-time (0.4fte) indefinite basis.

We strongly encourage applicants from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic backgrounds and welcome applications from all protected groups as defined by the Equality Act 2010.  Appointment will be made on merit.

The University is committed to diversifying its workforce. As examples, we already hold an Athena Swan Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality. We also have a Vice-Chancellor led Taskforce on Tackling Racism and a Race Equality Charter Working Group which support our work on race equality. Our aim is to submit to the Race Equality Charter in 2024.
