£35,333 to £41,155 per annum, pro rata for part-time

This is a co-funded post between the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East of England (ARC EoE) and the University of East Anglia (UEA). The NIHR ARC East of England is a collaboration between the host trust, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, and the Universities of Cambridge, East Anglia, Hertfordshire and Essex in partnership with other health and social care organisations, industry, and charities across the region. The aim of the ARC EoE is to support applied health and care research, implementation and capacity building at a local, regional, national and international level. The post will align with the ARC EoE Ageing and Multimorbidity Theme.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop the next generation of applied dementia researchers. You will join a regional cohort of postdocs in applied dementia research from our ARC East of England, based at our partner universities. This regional cohort, in turn, will be part of a national cohort of postdocs. Read more about the funding award here

We are seeking applications from candidates with an exciting research plan that aligns with the work of experts in applied dementia research, for example the impact of dementia on independent living, driving, use of assistive technology, and impact on the wellbeing of family carers; development or delivery of assessments or non-pharmacological interventions.  As such, you will work under the supervision of the most appropriate PI depending on your research focus, e.g. Prof Eneida Mioshi, Prof Michael Hornberger, A/Prof Naoko Kishita. You could also work in existing projects, if able to demonstrate your own expertise and added value in those.

You will need to demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team with experience in scientific publications and conference presentations as well as experience in supporting peers and junior colleagues.  You will need to be motivated with the ability to apply for funding, and other activities at postdoctoral level.  

This post is available on a full-time, fixed term basis from 1 December 2022 to 30 September 2024 and will be subject to an Enhanced criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.  Applications for part-time working are also welcome.
