Description

Finance, Planning and Governance

Senior Administrative Assistant (Fees and Bursaries)
Ref: SC4327

£23,715 to £27,131 per annum

The Finance, Planning and Governance department is seeking to appoint a Senior Administrative Assistant, responsible for administering an annual cycle of work relating to the billing of course fees and the awarding of bursaries and scholarships to students.

The work is reliant on IT systems, with the SITS database being the main corporate system used to record student data. You will be responsible for entering and updating information, processing data, disseminating information to staff and students, and reconciling accounts. The post is also a customer facing role, where you will respond to fee and bursary enquiries from students or other University departments.

The post is available from 17 April 2023 on an indefinite full-time basis.

UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part-time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working.  Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.

Closing date:  26 January 2023.

The University is committed to diversifying its workforce. As examples, we already hold an Athena SWAN Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality. We also have a Vice-Chancellor led Taskforce on Tackling Racism and a Race Equality Charter Working Group which support our work on race equality. Our aim is to submit to the Race Equality Charter in 2024.
