Health Economics Consulting (HEC) at the University of East Anglia are looking for a Senior Research Associate.
You will have a strong applied health economics background, with relevant skills and aptitude for a health economic consulting environment, to support the Directors in leading, coordinating and developing our portfolio of consultancy and research projects.
HEC undertakes a variety of health economic projects for industry, public and charity sectors. This offers the post holder a wide-ranging experience across different settings and clients and an opportunity to develop bespoke evidence and analytical solutions to inform health and social care decisions.
We are small but vibrant team of applied health economists led by Prof. Anita Patel, who has a strong and internationally recognised academic and consulting track record in health economics. We are part of, and work closely with, the academic Health Economics Group at UEA.
This is an unusual opportunity to blend a consulting and academic career. Applicants are encouraged to bring their own interests in the field of health economics to the post and apply them as relevant. Based at the NorwichMedical School we are well networked with academic and practicing specialists from every field of medicine as well as biostatisticians and other social scientists. We therefore offer a stimulating and varied University environment for a health economist interested in delivering robust research for real world decisions.
The post is available immediately on a full-time, indefinite basis.
Closing date: 1 December 2022.
The University is committed to diversifying its workforce. As examples, we already hold an Athena SWAN Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality. We also have a Vice-Chancellor led Taskforce on Tackling Racism and a Race Equality Charter Working Group which support our work on race equality. Our aim is to submit to the Race Equality Charter in 2024.
