Curator of Art and Climate Change (fixed term)
£27,929 per annum
The Sainsbury Centre is working towards an exciting relaunch in 2023 to tie in with our fiftieth anniversary. The Curator of Art and Climate Change will play a key part in delivering our new programme of exhibitions, displays, artist residencies, publications, and other special projects.
This new role is the first of its kind in the UK. The Curator will be expected to lead on research and deliver a range of activities that engage with climate change and the cultural landscape for the broadest audiences. You will form networks with some of the leading climate change researchers at the University of East Anglia and beyond, to stay aware of the latest developments in this area. This post is funded by the John Ellerman Foundation.
We are looking for an exceptional individual with experience in delivering public facing projects and a demonstrable interest in climate change and public communication.
This post is available from 31 October 2022 on a full-time basis for a fixed term period until 30 September 2025.
Closing Date: 21 September 2022
The University is committed to diversifying its workforce. As examples, we already hold an Athena SWAN Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality. We also have a Vice-Chancellor led Taskforce on Tackling Racism and a Race Equality Charter Working Group which support our work on race equality. Our aim is to submit to the Race Equality Charter in 2024.
