Senior Research Associate in Health Economics and Preference-Based Outcomes Research - REF: RA1735

 

£33,797 to £40,322 per annum, pro rata

 

Part-time up to 0.6fte, fixed-term for 1 year.
This post can be considered for flexible-working arrangements.

 

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and talented Senior Research Associate to work with the Health Economics Group UEA and the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) East of England as part of its Health Economics and Prioritisation Research Theme. 

 

The successful applicant will take a key role in developing and delivering applied economics input to health, social care and public health research across the East of England. You will contribute to the delivery of various ARC-related projects, including a project funded through an NIHR Public Health Grant investigating the feasibility of asset-based walking programs to address health inequalities, which incorporates a discrete choice preference study. You will actively engage with health and social care providers to develop their research capacity, and will pursue opportunities to secure and deliver related research contracts. You will contribute to providing research training and development for early career researchers, research students and health care professionals.

 

The successful candidate will hold, or be close to completing, a relevant postgraduate degree (preferably a Masters level degree with a substantial health economics component and/or a PhD) and will have research experience proportionate to the level of post applied for. Previous experience in preference-based outcomes research or a willingness to develop this expertise would be an advantage.

 

The role involves providing health economics advice and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of researchers, clinicians and representatives from other universities and health and care organisations across the ARC East of England, so some travel within the region is likely to be required.
